The Hospital Hospitality House is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides lodging and non-medical support services to patients and families receiving medical care and specialized treatment at Richmond area hospitals. It is the largest Hospitality House in the nation operated through donations only. Funds are raised through individual and corporate contributions, fundraising events, and guest fees. We ask for a $10 per person, per night donation toward their stay, however no guests are denied lodging regardless of their ability to make the donation. Over 30% of our guests are unable to afford even this minimal amount. It's through the generous support of the community that the Hospital Hospitality House is able to fulfill its mission, serving as a home to those in medical crisis and perhaps most importantly, providing a sense of family. The House is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and referred patients may stay as long as required by their medical providers.
