Our pledge is to grant every eligible child's wish. With your help, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and Western Virginia will continue to reach more of the special children we serve to grant their one favorite wish. Join us in celebrating 20 years of fulfilling wishes. Volunteer: There are over 400 people who contribute their time and talents to make wishes come true. We rely almost exclusively on volunteers to carry out the mission of the organization. Our current volunteer needs are in the following areas: Wish interviewing/granting volunteers in the southwestern and northwestern parts of the state Meet & Greet volunteers throughout the territory Bi-Lingual Volunteers Office Volunteers For more information on volunteering, please contact Carly Morton, cmorton@centralandwesternva.wish.org, Interns: Unpaid intership ooportunities are available for both credit and non-credit throughout the year. Each internship is built on course/field of study objectives. Internships are available in the following areas: Wish Coordination Fundraising and Marketing Donate: This year, we will receive referrals of over 250 children who are eligible to receive a wish. It is only through the compassion of our donors that we are able to continue providing hope, strength and joy to these children. All wishes and operations are funded by the generosity and efforts of individual donors, corporate donors, schools and community groups throughout the years.
